Chaparral House, a small, non-profit nursing home located in central Berkeley regularly has groups of volunteers come to help us maintain our extensive gardens.
We are looking for a couple of volunteers to serve as co-coordinators to organize and oversee these work groups when they are onsite.
Orientation and training will be done by a staff member and the coordinators will initially work closely with staff in terms of planning. Once comfortable, the coordinators can operate fairly independently.
Presently, this volunteer position is on an "as-needed" basis. If there is sufficient interest on the coordinators part, we can make this a monthly project.
