ORGANIZATION: AmeriCorps Seniors of Livingston County, New York

Make a lasting difference in a child or teen's life starting today...RSVP is recruiting volunteers over age 55 who are interested in working with youth as a tutor or mentor. In partnership with local Livingston County schools and non-profit agencies, we are seeking to identify, recruit and place volunteers to work 1:1 or in small groups with youth. These volunteers tutor or mentor children to improve scholastic skills, foster a positive learning environment, or prepare them for college or the working world.

Different school assignments or agency placements exist throughout Livingston County.

RSVP volunteers receive no-cost supplemental accident and liability insurance while volunteering.

RSVP Volunteers may be eligible for partial mileage reimbursement.

AmeriCorps Seniors recruits and places volunteers age 55 and older in activities that address critical community needs in Livingston County, NY, Volunteers serve as drivers, coaches of health and wellness workshops and advocates for older adults in nursing homes among other placements. .
