Encourage and provide companionship to patients with a life-limiting illness. As a Gentiva Hospice Volunteer you will visit with your assigned patient at their place of residence. Our patients live in private homes and nursing facilities throughout Williamson County. Volunteers provide companionship, reading, playing games, watching TV or other activities. The TB test, background check and training are all at our expense.

Supporting patients and their families as they discover meaningful ways to say good bye.
Identifying and educating a supportive community that will be sensitive to the needs of the patient and his or her loved ones.
Offering palliative care and support to all terminally ill patients and their families without regard for diagnosis, race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, veteran's status, disability, sexual orientation, place of residence or ability to pay.
Honoring and respecting the core values and wishes of the patients and families we serve.
