Description

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!

RSVP volunteers make a difference by assisting students in classrooms and afterschool, serving in food pantries, supervising and promoting the planting of trees and cleaning of streams, leading students on nature field trips, visiting homebound seniors, preparing taxes during tax season, counseling Medicare recipients, researching Medicare Part D prescription plans during the six week fall open enrollment period, preforming internet job searches and completing on-line job descriptions, performing home repairs, advocating for a foster care child, teaching nursing home residents about their rights, encouraging dementia residents to socialize and join in activities, assisting neighbors during disasters, leading senior center classes, or knitting blankets for sick children.

RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of the prospective volunteer with the opportunities. RSVP offers supplemental insurance while on duty and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed as well as additional benefits and training opportunities available to each volunteer.
