Mission Statement

Reaching Muslims and making Disciples of the Cross from All Nations...Disciples of the Way - DOW Outreach Ministry exists to Reach, Teach and Live among Muslims and others, to raise up Spiritual leaders from them and establish Christ centered communities among them.

Description

The Mission and Ministry of "Disciples of The Way Ministries" (DOW ) is the new name of this outreach to the Muslim community. Prior to the fall of 2012 the mission society had been operating under the name of "People of the Book Lutheran Outreach" which was established in 1993 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.

Disciples of the Way Ministries is a Mission Society that serves as a movement within the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).

In May 15, 2005, Pastor Karim was ordained from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne Indiana and was called by the Texas District of the Lutheran Church-Mo. Synod to organize a Mission Board of Directors to help him start, lead, and support the ministry goals under what was initially known as "People of the Book Lutheran Outreach, Texas" or POBLO-TX.

Besides raising up and training mission minded leaders and planting Ethnic Churches from all Nations in five different cities in Texas, as of October 2012 , our Mission statement is fulfilled by meeting needs and providing services to 25 thousand refugees making the city of Dallas, Texas one of the fastest Muslim growing cities in the US. Many Muslims, Hindu, Sikh, Arab, and Asians have been Baptized and are now going out to their own communities, sharing the Good News and bringing the Saving Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to their own neighbors (Matthew 28:19-20). Here are some of the services the ministry has been providing for our international neighbors from All Nation since 2005.
