Animal Foster care volunteers are a very important part of the adoption process at the Animal Services adoption center. All animals need to be spayed or nuetered be fore leaving the shelters adoption center per state law. Animals that need to be fostered vary. Some are injured or sick and some are pre wean. Sick animals may just need medication which we will prescibe and your love and care. Some animals may have more severe injuries such as a broken limb and may reguire more time in your loving home. Pre wean animals may require bottle feeding and then training to use a litter box/house trained, crate trained and bathed. This can be a truely wonderful experience, because you will be preparing your fosters to be placed in a loving home.

Stanislaus County is located in Central California. With over 530,000 people calling this area home, its communities reflect a region rich in diversity and a strong sense of community.
