Do you consider yourself to be computer or tech savvy? Do you enjoy educating others and sharing your passion for computers with the community?

The College Avenue Older Adult Center of Jewish Family Service of San Diego's Cyber Café, is an open computer lab, geared towards introducing and improving the computer skills of older adults.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity: The Cyber Cafe would like to offer monthly OASIS computer classes. OASIS is a unique and educational program for older adults who want to continue to learn and be productive. These classes will have easy and instructional guidelines to follow to assist in teaching the computer class curriculum to older adults interested in learning valuable computer skills.

Volunteer tasks/responsibilities will include instructing and monitoring the class by using the instructor guidebook and assisting the students with basic computer instruction as they attend the class.

Many classes happen mid-morning or in the afternoon between 1 and 2pm Mon-Friday.

One-Time Volunteer Opportunity: Are you looking for a more one-time opportunity but still want to give back? Volunteer as a Cyber Cafe Lecturer!

As a Cyber Café Lecturer you have the opportunity to present on a topic of your choice centered around computers, technology, tablets and more. Volunteers will lead a short educational training or lecture no longer than 2 hours for older adults that will help them gain new computer skills and grow more comfortable with technology! This is a flexible one-time volunteer opportunity where volunteers can schedule themselves. Come share what you love with the wonderful seniors at College Avenue's Social & Wellness Center!
