We are in need of a professional grant writer with experience working with Nonprofits. We are proud to have made it this far and looking forward to the success of each and every year. Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc is seeking an outgoing and energetic person who will be responsible for all aspects of raising support from foundations, corporations and government sources requiring written proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects. Perform prospect research and produce donor profiles; target ask amounts,prioritize and evaluate prospects for corporate, foundation and government grants. Develop and foster relationships with funders: find personal connections with donors that will ensure the attention of funders. Generate proposals for projects and programs. Write proposals, budgets, reports and other materials. manage grants by tracking, developing internal reporting writing reports; maintaining records and ensuring each project or program meet proposal conditions and expectations.

Essential Duties:

* Coordinate capital campaign and maintain donor database

* Research foundation databases and Internet to identify potential funders.

* Draft and send correspondence (appeal letters, marketing material, donor recognition)

* Identify fund-raising opportunities, maintain due dates, document progress and initiate final reports.

* Will develop relationships with staff of grant-making organizations and gather necessary information for funding applications.

* Will solicit businesses and community organizations for sponsorships and other special event support.

Must have strong editing skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals

Knowledge of fund-raising information sources

Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors

Knowledge of basic fund-raising techniques and strategies

Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc. was formed August 2007 with the impulse of addressing an acute awareness of the many troubles and challenges facing underprivileged and disadvantaged youth and adult population.

Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc.'s goal is to provide families and children with the necessary resources and services needed to gain self-sufficient living in a community of dignity, integrity, and respect. The creation of the Organization is to serve youth and adults who are facing difficulties and hardships. We believe all people should have the opportunity to reshape their lives and engage in programs that will enhance their abilities to become successful in their communities. We believe the community will find value in the services that will be provided and the ongoing efforts to contribute to the needs of families. Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc. will offer a broad range of services that aim to allow children in our community to take advantage of the educational and learning opportunities created by professional staff and volunteers.

Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc. is organized to provide economically disadvantaged youth, adults, and elders with an opportunity to receive leadership training, self-sufficiency programs, computer training, and needed social services to help acquire marketable skills toward personal achievement.
