Volunteers gather on MLK Day to make no-sew baby blankets and to repair new baby and children's clothes for families we serve. No experience or sewing knowledge required. Some easy sewing tasks available for those who know how. Lunch provided.
This opportuntiy is also available during the year to do at home, at our Philadelphia office or at the location of your choice, alone or with friends.

Mission Statement
Maternity Care Coalition's (MCC) mission is to improve maternal and child health and well being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers, and communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Description
MCC works to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal and child health and well being through outreach to high-risk communities to identify, connect with and assist pregnant women and families with prenatal, well baby, and other needed services. MCC's signature program, the MOMobile, is a community-based outreach and family support program. The MOMobile uses mobile outreach vans (MOM-mobiles) and door-to-door canvassing to help pregnant women in neighborhoods known to have high rates of infant mortality, teenage pregnancy, poverty, child abuse, and neglect, or limited knowledge of community resources and children's health insurance programs.
