What does a volunteer do? Provides companionship to a person with a life limiting illnesses. Offers support to family members and caregivers. Helps with community outreach. Bereavement support. Administrative assistance in the Interim Hospice office. Creating, crafting, and using your talents for events.
Why Volunteer? Immeasurable reward, you WILL make a difference in someone's life, life long gratification of knowing you were a part of something bigger, someone needs you, WE need you. For as little an 1-2 hours a week a volunteer provides an important service to our patients, family members, community, and are an essential part of our Hospice team.

Mission Statement
Compass Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings.

Bereavement support. Administrative assistance in the Compass Hospice office. Creating, crafting, using your talents for events.
As a Hospice volunteer you will be given the choice as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
