If you are passionate about ending violence in your community connect with your local domestic abuse resource agency/ICADV member program. Not sure who your local provider is, we can point you in the right direction.
The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence supports member program's volunteer initiatives. Together we can enhance safety, offer resources, and extend support to persons who have experienced Domestic Abuse/Intimate Partner Violence.
Volunteers are sought for a variety of opportunities linked to empathy, compassion, and a desire to support another's healing:
- Crisis Response
- Hotline Advocate
- Children's Program
- Emergency Housing Support
- Transportation
- Speakers Bureau/Agency Ambassador
- Awareness/Prevention/Events Promotion
- Support Group/Alternative Groups
- Donations/Fundraising Management

Description
ncorporated in 1985, the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) is a state level nonprofit organization that has proven its capacity as a state and national resource in responding to the needs of battered women, men and children. Currently, there are 25 direct service domestic violence member programs across the state. ICADV staff provide training, counseling, community outreach, program management, and technical support for the member programs, professionals and the community. ICADV administers several program including but not limited to State Certification of Domestic Abuse Programs and Advocates, Legal Assistanc to Victims, the Skylark Project, AmeriCorps, and Housing and Economic Justice.
