San Diego County Library's Adult ESL and Literacy Program offers the following one-on-one tutoring opportunities in all county branches. Opportunities available at all County branches.

-Teach native or non-native English speakers how to read and write, or help them improve English literacy and verbal skills.

-Help learners pass an exam (GED, HiSET, DMV, etc.).

Tutors and learners meet twice weekly for an hour and a half each session, and tutors are asked to commit to working with at least one learner for a minimum of six months.

If you're able to volunteer around 5 hours weekly, we encourage you to get involved, make a difference, and change a life!
