Ambulatory Surgery - Transport patients, assist Ambulatory Surgery staff, and stock supplies.

Clerical - Assist a specific department with clerical duties. Duties vary from department to department and according to volunteer skills. Examples may be: filing, copying, faxing, answering phones and greeting visitors.

Coffee Cart/Newspapers - Get coffee/tea supplies from the kitchen and serve the patients on the nursing floor. The "second cup of coffee" program is offered Monday through Friday. Free newspapers are also distributed.

Emergency Services - Act as a liaison to nursing staff and peer support person for visitors and families. The volunteer will work with the staff nurses as a communication link providing non-clinical information, comfort, and support to visitors families.

Eucharistic Minnistry - Distribute communion to patients.

Express Care - Greet patients, answer phones, run errands and general office duties.

Gift Shop - Assist customers and process sales.

Information Desk / Greeter - To provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors. Direct people through the hospital and respond to reasonable needs of patients, visitors, and family members. Provide information to families and visitors of the hospital, deliver flowers to patient floors, assist with transporting.

Library - Assist library users and help staff with special projects, shelving, computer research, copying of material.

Nursing Units - Assist the nursing staff on various nursing units by running errands, helping and visiting patients and some clerical tasks.

Pre-Admission Testing - Greet patients, assist them with forms and, run errands for the staff.

Primary Care Offices - Assist nurses and office personnel in the general operation of the office. Offices are not located in the hospital.

Print Shop - Assist the printer by collating and stapling of printed material.

Surgical Services - To provide a quiet and supportive area for family members of surgery patients to wait on the day of surgery. Act as a liaison between families and the operating room staff and phsysicians.

Tour Guide - Provide a tour of the hospital. A script is provided.

Transporter - Transport inpatients to and from their appointments.

Volunteer Department - Assist Volunteer Director with a variety of clerical opportunities.

Waiting Room Areas - Provide information and assistance to families and loved ones of patients in the family waiting rooms areas, as well as visitors.
