Computer Coach
Computer Coaches help people learn how to use the library computers.

Assist library customers with basic to advanced Computer Skills from creating an e-mail, resume writing, saving, attaching files, filling out applications and searching the Internet and pay for print services.

* Ages 16 years and older

* Minimum 6 months commitment requested.

* Available at regularly scheduled times, for at least 2 hours a week

* Willing to work with a variety of people

Fingerprint clearance required for volunteers 18 or over.

Ability to speak Vietnamese or Spanish is extremely helpful; however, people who speak English only are also needed.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
