As a volunteer Literacy Tutor, you can impact the life of an adult whose limited literacy is an obstacle in their everyday life. Literacy Tutors help empower adults to achieve their educational, employment and personal goals.
No previous teaching experience necesary; training & materials provided. Flexible hours to fit your schedule. Meet with an adult learner in the library for 2-3 hours per week.
** PLEASE NOTE: Individuals seeking to fulfill court-ordered community service obligations are NOT eligible for this volunteer position.

The mission of Volunteer Services is to support the overall mission of the library through the development, promotion and management of an active and innovative volunteer program, which consists of the timely recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation and recognition of a sufficient number of high quality, demographically diverse and broadly skilled workers.
