Odyssey Healthcare Is Looking for Ordinary People, With Extraordinary Hearts, to Provide Companionship and Socialization Support your neighbors who are going thru the end of life journey. Odyssey Healthcare Volunteers are compassionate, caring individuals that provide service to terminally ill people and their families.
Volunteers NEEDED TO SEW, MAKE ARTS/CRAFTS, BAKE, SIT AT PATIENT'S BEDSIDE TO READ, LISTEN, WATCH A MOVIE, BE A FRIEND PROVIDING COMPANIONSHIP, PRAY, LAUGH, SING.....SHARE YOUR GIFTS WITH OTHERS IN NEED OF COMPASSION.
An Odyssey Healthcare Volunteer demonstrates compassion and supports the dying Patient/Caregiver with an open hand, a listening ear and a loving heart.

Duties include: Reading, life review or simply listening. Some Volunteers bring music. There are many ways for loving people to provide support and care.
Odyssey Healthcare is dedicated to helping those with a limited life expectancy move through the final stages of life with grace, strength and hope in an atmosphere of comfort and dignity.

Training is free. New classes schedule regularly. Following training volunteers are placed with patients as close to their home as possible.
