WE HAVE A FEW FAMILIES STILL NEEDING A MATCH.
If you are up for a fast turn-around time, we could use your help!

Currenlty, these three families are waiting for sponsors:

• 4 person familiy:This family would be best sponsored by a group of friends or co-workers.
• 34 individual youth from our Kinship Youth Program, who are so deserving of thougtful gifts this holiday season!

For these families, your sponsorship would be a Christmas blessing, and we're running out of time. We'll need gifts dropped off in our Oakland office no later than Thursdays, the 15th. Are you up for the challenge?

You can make Christmas brighter for a family in need by joining us for the Sponsor-a-Family Program at Family Support Services of the Bay Area.

The Sponsor-A-Family program is similar to Adopt-a-Family projects you may have seen: We will send you the wishlist for a family in need--this list will include their most needed items (clothes, warm coats and shoes), and a few "Dream Wish" items for those sponsors who wish to provide some extra fun items, too.

We have approximately 160 families in need, waiting to be matched to a sponsor this season. We really need your help to get them all matched in time for Christmas.

We have families in need ranging in size from 2-8 people that are waiting for sponsors, so just let us know what feels comfortable for you and I promise, you can make a real difference for real people.

This is a great project for groups: Consider talking with your co-workers, friends, family members, book club, sports team, or neighbors about joining you to sponsor a family.

Children love to be included, and this is a great way to teach them about giving to those in need during the Holidays. Let us know if you have children who will be helping you shop for the family you sponsor, and we will try to match you with a family whose children are similar in ages. This really helps your kids to relate to the experience.
