As our organizations grows, we need a professional to keep our books, audit our finances and pay our bills. We would have our bills faxed or emailed to you for payment, you would keep our records (in Quick Books or something similar). The board would expect a monthly financial report. A board member would work closely with you and would committee chairs would approve all bills before sending them to you to pay. For several months, you would work under the direction of our current treasurer. Ideally, this person in this position will replace our current treasurer so she can pursue other volunteer opportunities with Paws in the City.

Mission Statement

Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city.

Description

  1. Paws In The City has spent over 5 years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We focus on rescuing dogs and cats from the City of Dallas municipal shelter because they must euthanize almost 30,000 animals every year. We hope to make a difference.
  2. We currently do not have a shelter, but utilize foster homes and boarding facilities to board the animals in our care until a forever home can be found. Therefore we do not have employee or shelter related costs. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, training, medical and spay/neuter programs.

**Rescuing, fostering and adopting dogs and cats through our foster and adoption programs

** Providing a Medical Assistance Fund which offers the public help with expensive surgeries or treatments that they could not afford on their own (for qualified applicants only)
