YOU are the heart of hospice! With your kindness, compassion, and empathy, you can provide a consistent presence to our patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Sometimes you'll walk down memory lane with the patient; sometimes you'll read to the patient; sometimes you'll simply hold their hand. Maybe you'll stay with the patient for a short time, while their caregiver gets a much needed break. Maybe you'll be the only visitor to that patient all week, or even all month, who is there only to visit and be with them.
A thorough training is provided free of charge, so you can become a competent, confident and caring volunteer.
