The Japanese have been breaking an International Moratorium on hunting whales in the Southern Ocean Sanctuary since 1986. They are also in violation of the Antarctic Treaty, which they signed.

Whales are hunted for "Scientific Research" and the whale meat is sold at Japanese supermarkets and restaurants. This is a loop-hole they are using to continue their whale hunt. This year, 50 Humpback Whales are on the chopping block, along with another 936 Minke Whales. The madness has to stop. The whales are in a protected zone. Our voices have to be heard.

Please join us in letting the Japanese know how we feel about their illegal activities!

We are looking for as many volunteers as we can get to come out on Friday, November 5 · 12:00pm - 3:00pm at the following address

We want you to bring a sign which tells the Japanese to Stop Killing Whales and we ask that all posters/signs include our OMG logo so we can show how serious we are about why we are there.

Our main objective is to raise awareness about the Japanese Whaling in the Southern Ocean Sanctuary. The Japanese whaling vessels may use an LRAD on their ships, but we can use our voices and our numbers to tell them what they are doing is WRONG. Support the cause, join the fight, and spread awareness."

The idea is that all our volunteers protests peacefully, yet being free to add its cultural and local "flavors" to their protests, capitalizing on exposure in their local media; TV, newspaper, radio, and other means of communication, with the objective of generating maximum exposure of the message and awareness of what is actually happening in regard to whaling.

We are choosing to peacefully demonstrate in front of Japanese consulate and ask for as much support as we can get.

Remember, our founders are only 9.5 and 8 years old and we do not want their organization (or the kids) to be exposed to unnecessary negative protesting. We hope to see you on the 5th.
