The Tempe Chamber of Commerce is seeking a volunteer for our front desk!
Yours will be the first voice people hear when they call in and the first face people see when visiting the Chamber, so you must be outgoing, courteous and friendly. If you have experience writing, there are also opportunities to assist the Communications Department in its marketing efforts.
Though we can't pay, we would invite you to attend all of our Chamber events for free. This opportunity is perfect for somebody in between jobs and looking for their next employer. The Tempe Chamber has four regular monthly events that provide fantastic networking opportunities, and several large annual events where you can rub elbows with the business community's key players.
If you are dependable, professional and interested in gaining valuable experience, please send an e-mail to meghandorn@tempechamber.org with the hours you are available to volunteer along with an explanation of why you would be the perfect volunteer. Resumes are preferred but not required.

Description
For more than a century, the Tempe Chamber of Commerce has built an environment that enhances the economic vitality of our membership and the business community as a whole. Through our commitment to and involvement with the community, we provide our members with the tools and means needed to achieve success at every level of their enterprises.
The Tempe Chamber was first established in 1908 and now represents nearly 1,000 members with more than 74,000 employees. Our professional, full-time staff is dedicated to serving the needs of our membership by working with the local, state and federal governments and civic organizations to create a positive business atmosphere. Weekly committee meetings, monthly programs and a host of special events, educational seminars, trade shows and conferences all serve to further strengthen the local economy by strengthening businesses.
The business climate of Tempe, typical of the majestic desert surrounding it, remains a hot one. New projects, renovations and improvements add to the hustle and bustle of a strong and thriving community. The 166,000 residents that call the 40-square-mile city home (and the more than 100,000 people who come to the city each day to work, learn and play) enjoy Tempe's unique personality while its identity is maintained through thoughtful planning.
As we continue to represent and promote our membership and the community, the Tempe Chamber invites you to share our excitement in celebrating our unique heritage and promising future.
