Are you passionate for the environment and live in the Rocky Mountain Region? Nature Abounds, an emerging 501c3 non-profit organization that educates and empowers citizens to sustain their community through environmental stewardship, is looking for someone in your region to be a representative on its Board Directors.

Taking a two-tier approach to achieving its goals, Nature Abounds works with individuals and citizen groups while also working with government agencies. IceWatch USA and Watch the Wild are programs of Nature Abounds.

Responsibilities of Board Members include:

• Serving as a representative of Nature Abounds in your region. As such, correspond with partnering and potentially partnering organizations about Nature Abounds and keep Nature Abounds updated on these relationships and how we can support these relations.
• Regularly attend board meetings (via phone or in-person) as able and important related meetings.
• Volunteer for and willingly accepts assignments as appropriate and completes them thoroughly and on time.
• Stay informed about organizational matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports.
• Get to know other board members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus.
• Participate in the organizations annual evaluation and planning efforts.
• Participate in fundraising for the organization as appropriate.
