Assist children of military personnel as the family prepares for the deployment of a parent. Volunteers will be trained by the Indiana National Guard Family Support Center staff. Volunteers will use active listening skills and will participate in group activities designed to help the children express their emotions.
Training will take place on November 19, 2010, 9 am - 11 am at the Volunteer Center offices at 3401 Lake Ave., Suite 4.
First scheduled event will take place on Saturday December 4, 2010, 11 AM - 4 PM in Fort Wayne.
