Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that teaches students kindergarten through high school in our local schools economic education programs. Lessons range from teaching 3rd graders about jobs in a city to teaching middle school students about checking accounts and credit cards. All materials and training are provided for each volunteer.
One way that Junior Achievement is supported is through special events. These events help raise the funds necessary to provide the education programs to local students. These special events include the Business Hall of Fame, Bowl-4-Education, Hawk Watch, JA Titan Challenge, Taste of Spring, Jeans-4-JA and Volley-4-Education. Volunteers are needed to help with planning committees and day-of-event volunteers. The time committment is minimal, from one hour on the day of the event to 5-6 one-hour planning meetings.
