The Center for the Visually Impaired is seeking tutors for it's STARS program.
STARS (Social, Therapeutic, Academic and Recreational Services) is an educational, recreational, and social skills program for youth ages 5-21 who are blind or visually impaired. STARS is operated by the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta, Georgia.
STARS positively impacts students' social and emotional growth from childhood through adolescence and into young adulthood. STARS produces high school graduates with the skills, knowledge, and self-confidence necessary to succeed in post-secondary educational and work experiences.
Currently we are in need of volunteers who can tutor in math, science, english and reading.
Volunteers need to be flexible and assist in other classes as well.
