The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is an annual evening fundraising walk. Companies, community groups, neighbors, families, and friends will all raise funds and walk together locally along a two mile route - we are currently preparing for our Orange County Walk at the Angel's Stadium in Anaheim. Light The Night is more than a walk, it is a community celebration with food, music and family activities - a community coming together to support people with cancer.

At our Orange County Walk on September 27th, 2014, the volunteer shifts are:

Event Set-Up: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Event Activities: 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. (this shift will be further broken down)
Event Clean-Up: 5:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

All volunteers will receive complimentary food and drinks, as well as a volunteer t-shirt. To register as a volunteer or have any questions, please contact Carina Burling at (714) 481-5616 or via email at Carina.Burling@lls.org.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Description

Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.

In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Oklahoma Chapter was founded to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The chapter serves all 77 counties in the state.
