Spending quality time outdoors, teach others about it!

We are looking for people who have a passion for nature and enjoy working with children and adults. Puente Hills Preserve is home to 4,000 acres of beautiful open space in south east LA county. Preserve guides will be trained by field experts in ecology and environmental education. Trained guides will lead and assist Preserve Naturalists on guided hikes given to the public and school groups. Very flexible schedules and a minimal monthly commitment. Mission Statement

The Puente Hills Habitat Authority is dedicated to the acquisition, restoration, and management of open space in the Puente Hills for preservation with the primary purpose to protect the biological diversity. The Habitat Authority endeavors to provide opportunities for outdoor education and low-impact recreation.

Description

The Puente Hills Habitat Authority believes it is important that Puente Hills neighborhoods, as well as other local communities are informed of nature's role in the near by urban area. By preserving open space, we are essentially providing homes for wildlife, cleaner air, enhancing watersheds, assisting with economic viability for surrounding communities, and providing a place to invigorate and replenish the human mind, body and spirit.
