Volunteers work individually or with small groups of children in grades K-5 to improve reading comprehension and writing skills. This can take the form of (1) individual or small group Reading Support; (2) Writing Workshop - volunteers meet individually with students and help edit their stories; or (3) Publishing Center - volunteers help students "publish" the books they have written, creating visually appealing publications for the classroom library.
