Volunteers at the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center [BRCC] use their talents, interests and passion to advocate for and support victims of sexual violence. We are a commited community network of individuals striving to put an end to all violence; through service, education and intervention we work to show survivors that they are not alone.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Answer the 24-hour crisis hotline from home
- Advocate for victims of sexual violence in the emergency room
- Provide information and resources to those affected by sexual violence
- Assisting BRCC with special events

Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center works to achieve freedom from sexual violence by supporting individuals and engaging communities.
Description
Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center serves the Bluegrass Area Development District in Central Kentucky. Ampersand is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing a 24-hour support hotline, advocacy, medical accompaniment, and free counseling to survivors of sexual assault, their friends and families. We also work with community partners to provide free prevention education on topics such as healthy relationships, bystander intervention, bullying, and much more.
