The Art Cart volunteers have been busy coming up with lots of great craft ideas to give the children the chance to express their creativity and put aside their worries for a little while. Watching their smiles and hearing them laugh as they create each piece of art is very rewarding to the volunteers. In December they really enjoyed making reindeer for the Christmas Tree decorations and playing in the "Snow" to make a puffy snowman. We are excited to see what new art work will make its way to the Gift Shop this year. It takes special people to work with children who are sick and dealing with so many emotions. Our volunteers do a wonderful job and are ready to work with a group or just one child. Spending extra time with a child that needs a little more art "therapy" can make a child’s day brighter.

Description
Since 1952, volunteers have contributed thousands of hours of service to the patients, their families, and to the staff of Driscoll Children's Hospital. Our volunteers work in a variety of areas to provide an added dimension of attention and are an invaluable part of the hospital team.
These volunteers are also the ambassadors to our community. This service and dedication contributes to the efficiency of the hospital and creates a unique caring atmosphere.
