The Board of the Art Therapy Studio is actively recruiting enthusiastic professionals to assist with developing tactics, identifying resources, and guiding the implementation of key strategies. Committee opportunities are project based for short term involvement (6 months - 2 years). Expressing interest can also lead to the opportunity to serve on the Board. Volunteering your expertise will enhance our programs and services to meet the needs of our clients while at the same time offer a way to develop and/or strengthen your skills in project management and leadership. About Art Therapy Studio

Location:

12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44120, US

Mission Statement

The Art Therapy Studio is the oldest creative arts therapy program of its kind in the country. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges through the therapeutic use of art. We use art making led by credentialed art therapists to promote healing and wellness.

Description

Our programs strive to make arts accessible, meaningful, and useful to all individuals, including those unable to participate in traditional community arts programs. We’ve provided innovative therapeutic art programs to more than 50,000 people throughout Cuyahoga and neighboring counties in a variety of settings. Our programs include customized contracted services at area agencies, hospital-based programs, employee wellness programs, professional education workshops, and our pioneering Discover the Artist Within You community classes. All of our programs have been developed around the philosophy that art making is central to healing and wellness and use the creative process of making art to improve and enhance well-being.
