Volunteer Tutor Opportunity
The Juvenile Literacy Center, a program of the Triangle Literacy Council, is seeking volunteer tutors. Tutors work one-on-one with youth (ages 10 to 17) who are court-involved and in need of academic support. The training emphasizes effective teaching methods, working with behavioral and learning differences, and lesson planning to meet the needs of our students.
Volunteer with the Juvenile Literacy Center and provide our students with skills for academic and personal success. All tutors must have some weekday availability and college experience.
If interested email or check the website triangleliteracy.org for more information.
