POSITION TITLE: TechTeam Genius

LOCATION: 790 Columba Rd, Dorchester, MA 02125

TIME REQUIREMENT: 3:00-5:00 every Tuesday afternoon, for a specified number of weeks.

PURPOSE: The TechTeam Genius, like the Apple employee of the same name, will bring technological savvy to our TechTeam club. This may take any of three forms:

(1) First, the Genius may showcase fun, inspiring, or mindblowing technologies, drawing upon his or her own
experience or research. For instance, we have often begun our meetings with a technology video from TED.com.

(2) Second, the Genius may take a leading role in carrying a specific project to completion by, for instance,
teaching video editing, music mixing, or website design.

(3) Third, alongside the Facilitator, the Genuis will help run the weekly meetings, moving around to help
individual students and coaching them through projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The TechTeam Genius position carries the following responsibilities.
(1) Arriving on time each week to help set up and discuss plans for the meeting, missing no more than one of the planned weeks, and calling the Facilitator ahead of time if tardiness or absence is unavoidable.
(2) Being available through phone or email to briefly discuss upcoming lesson plans.
(3) Assisting with gathering needed materials (digital cameras, etc.)
(4) Applying his or her technological skills and passing them along to the students.
(5) Always maintaining a courteous, friendly, and extremely energetic attitude toward the students.
