To promote and foster increased adult literacy in Ocean County through trained volunteer tutors who teach basic skills learners and those for whom English is not their native language.

Description

Literacy New Jersey - Ocean County Programs was founded in 1979 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organizarion dedicated to profiding one-on-one instruction to adults lacking basic literacy skills. This service has been provided by the organization's efforts to recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers to accomplish its mission.
