Join ECS in helping low-income students start the school year off right with the supplies they need by holding a collection drive.
Back-to-School is an exciting time for children, but for many low-income families, the cost of purchasing school supplies can be a financial burden.
Every student should begin the school year with the tools necesary to learn and succeed.
School supplies include:
Elementary School: backpacks, pencils, markers, crayons, glue, scissors, folders, erasers, pencil boxes, notebooks, colored pencils, rulers
Middle School: backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, highlighters, markers, folders, glue, composition books, pencil sharpeners, scissors, colored pencils, rulers, calculators
High School: backpacks, rulers, scissors, copasses, protractors, compasses, protractors, composition books, pencil sharpeners, pens, pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, notebooks, folders, calculators, staplers/stapels, glue, tape

Description
ECS provides comprehensive services to low-income families and individuals in a variety of ways:
-ECS' Resident Services Program has partnered with local housing complexes that provide over 600 units of affordable housing to low-income families and individuals. ECS provides an on-site social worker to assist residents with resources and also help build a sense of community.
-ECS' Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are located in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Stillwater and Fairmont and assist low-income families and individuals in moving towards self-sufficiency. Bagged lunches and bottles of water are distributed to over 3,000 homeless individuals annually at our Minneapolis FRC.
-ECS' Supportive Housing Programs partner with local faith communities to assist low-income families on their road to economic independence.
-ECS' Ready for Success Program provides low-income women with new and gently-used professional clothing, accessories, and new personal care items suitable for job interviews and the workplace. These women are served in our two unique and beautiful boutiques located in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
-ECS Ready for Success Men's Program began as a pilot program in 2008 and became an official ECS program in January of 2010. The Men's Program serves low-income men who are ready for employment and in need of new and gently-used professional attire and accessories and new personal care items. Men are served during personalized appointments in St. Paul and a new location will soon be opening in Minneapolis.
