Love to sing? Want to use your gift to serve others in a deeply meaningful way? Please consider joining the Carilion Clinic Hospice Choir. The choir sings for hospice patients at the request of their families, using our voices to provide comfort to the spirit and psyche of those who are dying. The choir sings for patients in small, a cappella groups of 4-5 sharing music specially selected for this purpose as well as traditional favorites. Judy Barger Edgell will be the Director for the choir. She has been a private music teacher and Church musician in the Valley for over 50 years. The choir to rehearses or sings regularly on Tuesday afternoons. Special training is provided to prepare choir members for their responsibilities at the patient's bedside. Choir members are not required to sing for patients until they feel ready.
