ORGANIZATION: National MS Society - Greater Carolinas Chapter

Gain work experience or earn academic credit while working with a dynamic non-profit team! The Public Relations/Marketing Intern works directly with the Public Relations Department of the Chapter assisting with marketing and public relations projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with marketing projects
  • Solicit media sponsorships and track media
  • Work with staff to create copy for website
  • Assist with publishing email blasts
  • Design/layout of printed materials
  • Draft content for newsletters, press releases and articles
  • Manage social media postings

Skills Needed:

  • Detail oriented
  • Creative; graphic design experience helpful
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suites preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • AP Style knowledge

Unpaid Internship; full or part-time schedule available (within regular business hours - Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm).

MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. The Greater Carolinas Chapter, with offices located in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte, NC, serves over 18,000 individuals affected by MS in North and South Carolina. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS and raise funds for MS research. Our vision is a World Free of MS!
