Walk with Us to Cure Lupus is the Alliance for Lupus Research's (ALR) national grassroots fundraising program, which relies on volunteers to make each event a success.

The San Luis Obispo ALR Walk is run solely by the dedication and support of ALR volunteers. Volunteers are responsible for all the logistical needs of the event, which can range from securing entertainment to registering participants on Walk Day.

We are looking for volunteers to join us for our San Luis Obispo ALR Walk being held on Saturday, November 6th at Atascadero Lake Park and assist with the following event tasks:

Pre Event Planning

• Volunteer Committee: Help organize and plan the event.
• In-Kind Donations: Reach out to the community to secure in-kind donations, such as breakfast items, entertainment and music.

Walk Day

• Set-up: 6:30am-9:00am Pre event set-up is a great opportunity for early risers.
• Registration: 8:00am-10:00am Check in walkers and collect their donations.
• T-shirt Pick Up: 8:00am-10:00am Hand out incentive t-shirts to qualifying walkers.
• Food Area: 7:00am-12:00pm Help set up the food area and distribute snacks and beverages.
• Clean Up: 11:00am-12:30pm Help with post event clean up, break down and packing of supplies.

Opportunities are also available for those who would like to fundraise for the San Luis Obispo ALR Walk.
