Mentors are needed for our Intervention, Prevention, and Education (IPE) Mentoring program that targets teens who are at high risk for gang involvement, or who have participated in gang activities. The goal is to provide a positive outlet for exploring new opportunities and learning to make better choices. The program is community-based, meaning that there is no set meeting place or time, and meetings are not directly supervised - each pair determines their own meeting times. Mentors meet weekly with assigned youth in a community-based setting, are respectful of all mentees, are a good role models for mentees and others and remain actively committed to the program and youth for at least one year.
