Savor the Flavor is a self-guided walking, tasting tour of Fayetteville's renowned Dickson Street. More than 700 people participate in this annual event held the Tuesday after Labor Day. This is a fun-filled evening great for family, friends and colleagues to spend mixing and mingling, enjoying the fine cuisine provided by local restaurants.
Volunteer opportunities for the event:
Registration - Check in guests, provide information on participating
restaurants, and answer questions.
Restaurant Host - Assist with check in at each restaurant. Volunteer
will keep count of guests entering the restaurant, check each ticket and collect taster surveys.
Restaurant Server - Assist restaurant staff with serving guests.
Volunteer may be providing drinks or serving samples from the buffet
line. Volunteer will stand the entire shift.
Set Up - Set up tables for registration, ensure that each restaurant
has a location for a host, put out balloons or signage in front of
each restaurant. Also assist with set up of post party room. Shifts
2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Some moderate lifting may be required.
Clean Up - Take down balloons or other signage from in front of each
restaurant, collect taster surveys and other materials from each
restaurant and clean up registration start points. Also assist with
clean up of post party. Shifts 8:30pm - 10:00pm. Some moderate
lifting may be required.
Floater - Assist in other areas as needed.

Telephone Calls
Transportation
Chore Assistance
Yard Work
Minor Home Maintenance
We are open to all volunteers and have opportunites for groups and individuals. You pick when you would like to volunteer!
