We need Volunteers and Walk Teams for Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. This event helps raise funds for the American Diabetes Association in the fight against diabetes. This event is Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Princeton Forrestal Village.
We are looking for volunteers to help with set up, registration, food, rest stops, route signage and finish line festivities. Set up starts at 7 am and the event ends by 2 pm. You can register for a 3-hr shift or work the whole event. Volunteers will receive a light breakfast and lunch and a Step Out volunteer T-shirt!

Description
Volunteer Power
The moving force behind our work is a network of more than one million volunteers nation wide, including a membership of 430,000 diabetes patients and their families, and a professional society of more than 18,000 physicians, scientists, certified diabetes educators, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and educators.
In addition to our well know fund-raising events, the ADA provides learning sessions and information through a variety of community-based presentations and activities focused on reaching the diagnosed and those at high risk for diabetes. These free presentations include bi-lingual information on the importance of physical activity, making healthy food choices, food portion control and much more. Last year our outreach efforts reached several thousand people in the state of New Jersey alone. We couldn't have done this without the support from volunteers like you. Volunteering is rewarding and you can be assured that you have made a difference in someone's life.
