Perform selected duties, with training and supervision by regular staff, in several different areas, as determined by the needs of the branch and the interest/skills of the volunteer, such as: general library duties, circulation, book processing, audio-visual materials, youth activities, computer lab/internet assistants, Grandparents and book programs. Our volunteers are esteemed members of our library system and as suchreceive benefits such as access to library facilities, annual recognition events and much more! Volunteering at your local library is not only a rewarding experience, it also allows the library to expand its services and serve the community. The mission of Volunteer Services is to support the overall mission of the library through the development, promotion and management of an active and innovative volunteer program, which consists of the timely recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation and recognition of a sufficient number of high quality, demographically diverse and broadly skilled workers.
