Make a difference in a senior adult’s life and volunteer for the West Madison Senior Center Home Chore Program. Volunteers offer light housekeeping and friendly visiting to help low-income westside seniors who want live independently in their homes or apartments but struggle with day-to-day cleaning tasks. Some seniors are isolated and would love a friendly visitor to chat with.
Areas of help often include but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, floor mopping, changing bed linens or organizing items. Matches are made based on the need of the older adult, and the interests and schedules of the volunteers.
Opportunities are very flexible and can be quite rewarding. Some of our volunteers have been with the same senior for years!
