Translate English HIV/AIDS Scripts into Tagalog

Cause Areas

It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.

The project of Global Lifeworks is making scientifically and medically accurate HIV/AIDS prevention education available for free online in many languages. We wish to translate English scripts into as many other languages as possible, including Tagalog.

To do this, you must have native-level fluency in a language other than English and enough fluency in English to understand the script you're translating. No special knowledge about HIV/AIDS is required; all scripts are targeted at ordinary laypeople, not specialists. You will need to sign and return a legal release granting Global Lifeworks the right to the finished translation.

You can volunteer to: perform the translation; proofread a translation done by someone else; present into the camera a finished translation (if you are in the San Francisco Bay Area or if you have your own filiming equipment); caption a finished video for the disabled and non-native speakers; or help promote awareness of the finished videos by notifying HIV/AIDS not-for-profits who work in countries where the language is spoken.

You can volunteer in this way from home on your own computer at your own pace! There is no minimum time commitment. We welcome volunteers for any language!

When you volunteer, you will be sent an email providing complete instructions on how you can get started right away.
