Volunteers from various labor unions learn about the public and private services available to their coworkers and families for emergency situations, layoffs, plant closings, local human-service programs, health-care problems, retirement planning and volunteering. The UCAN training course will also enhance attendees' leadership skills.

Description
Recruit and provide training and volunteer opportunites to current, retired or potential union members by partcipating in our year-round "union community activist network" [UCAN] programs.
Sponsored by the AFL-CIO Community Services Activites Program, York/Adams Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, in cooperation with the United Way of York County, York, Pennsylvania.
