The Roanoke Valley SPCA has established a monthly drive-through pet food pantry to help families in need. We never want someone to have to choose between feeding themselves or their pet.
This event, Dot’s Drive-Thru, is on the second Sunday each month, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM in the shelter parking lot. This program is available for pets in the following areas: Botetourt, Craig and Roanoke Counties as well as the cities of Salem and Roanoke and the town of Vinton. On average, we hand out 1,000lbs of dog and cat food at this event!
To make Dot's Drive Thru possible, we are in need of volunteer helpers. Our volunteers work under staff direction to help direct cars, give out and collect paperwork, and load food into vehicles. This is a great opportunity for students, family groups, or organizations to get involved!
