Against the Grain
Against the Grain offers in-school tutoring to children identified by their teacher as being at-risk. The assistant coordinator for the Study Buddy Program serves as a liaison between the tutors, teachers, and school administrators.
Responsibilities include communicating with teachers and/or administrators at the beginning of the school year to determine the needs of each child, and how the Study Buddy Program can help meet the academic goals for each child. Throughout the year, the Assistant Coordinator will communicate with the tutors and the teachers to determine the on-going needs and successes of each student.
