Work Description: Massage therapy provides relief from stress and possible pain reduction for clients.
Duties: Therapists work with clients in their beds or chairs often without removing clothes. The massage therapist addresses the areas that would bring the client the most relief. It is unlikely that the therapist would be working with the entire body unless it is easy and comfortable for the client. Sessions are usually short depending on the receptivity of the client. Therapists must bring their own creams and oils, etc.
Location: At the client's home or assisted living facility.
Benefits: The benefit of helping others who are not able to repay you is priceless. Continuous education in end-of-life issues is available to all volunteers.
