We need volunteers with horse experience to assist in our mounted horseback riding lessons!
Our Horse Handlers (also called "Leaders") are in charge of the horse during Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy lessons. This includes getting the horse groomed and ready for the lesson, leading the horse or spotting the horse during the lesson (depending on the skills of the rider), and being responsible for the horse in case of an emergency situation.
We have many daytime needs Monday through Saturday and several evening openings as well. We provide training to all volunteers.
