**Now recruiting for Fall 2022 training--Classes will start in August 2022**

Volunteers must be 18 years or older, attend 40 hours of training and submit background checks. One year commitment required.

Children's volunteers assist with evening child care during weekly service provider meetings, support groups, and parenting classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:45pm-8:15pm at our Family Home and Safe House and on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-7:30pm at our counseling center. Volunteers supervise and facilitate activities for children with a range of ages while parents attend meetings and classes.

Doorways is an Arlington-based non-profit agency helping individuals and families create pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives. We envision a community where all people live free of violence and have safe and stable housing regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, abilities, language, or national origin. We see a future without homelessness or domestic and sexual violence.
